The Microtransat Challenge
The Microtransat Challenge was launched in 2005 to encourage the development of fully autonomous model boats capable of crossing the Atlantic either east-west or west-east. To date, 32 boats have taken part in the Microtransat Challenge. However, so far only Team Sailbouy has made it with their boat SB Met in the Sailing Class and the Unmanned Division. With our boat, we are not only trying to be the first team in the Non-Sailing class, but also the first fully autonomous boat to cross the Atlantic.
